Welcome to the home of real UK BBQ chat.
No filters. No over-polished foodie nonsense. No pretending every cook is perfect. Just proper people talking fire, meat, gear, recipes, wins, fails, events, bargains, and everything in between.
We’re now 450+ members strong, with 24 groups covering all corners of UK BBQ — and it’s completely free to join.
What Is It?
The UK BBQ WhatsApp Community is a free community for people who love cooking outdoors.
Whether you’re cooking on a kettle, kamado, pellet grill, offset, gas BBQ, Ninja Woodfire, smoker, fire pit, or something you built yourself — you’re welcome.
It’s not about being an expert. It’s not about perfect photos. It’s about real people sharing real BBQ.
What’s Inside?
The community is split into smaller groups so you can join the chats that interest you and mute the ones that don’t.
- Regional BBQ chat across the UK and Ireland
- Recipes, cooks, tips and advice
- BBQ gear, gadgets and equipment
- Competitions and giveaways
- Buying, selling and trading BBQ kit
- Events, meet-ups and community cookouts
- Creator collaborations
- Camping, drinks, gardening and off-topic chat
- General BBQ banter with people who actually get it
So whether you want help with your first brisket, ideas for a midweek cook, advice on your next BBQ, people near you to chat with, or just a place away from the fake social media nonsense — this is it.
How to Join
To keep the community genuine and spam-free, everyone starts in the Holding Pen.
Before getting access to the main groups, all I ask is that you introduce yourself properly.
Tell us what kit you cook on, what sort of food you like cooking, where you’re based, or anything else BBQ-related.
It doesn’t need to be fancy. I just want to know you’re a real person who’s actually into BBQ.
Once that’s done, and it’s clear you’re here for the right reasons, you’ll get access to the rest of the community.
The Only Real Rule
Don’t overthink it — just be genuine.
No egos. No spam. No weird sales nonsense.
If you’re into BBQ, want to chat with like-minded people, and fancy being part of a proper UK BBQ community, you’ll fit right in.
Start in the Holding Pen, introduce yourself, and we’ll take it from there.
