Campbell’s Friends & Family BBQ Bundle Review

When I first picked up the delivery box, I’ll admit I was slightly concerned by how heavy it was. It turned out that most of the unexpected weight came from the sheer number of frozen ice packs Campbell’s had included.

Considering we’ve had a slightly ridiculous summer, with temperatures regularly reaching 30°C and above, that was genuinely appreciated. Everything inside arrived properly chilled, securely packaged and in great condition.

What’s included?

The Friends & Family BBQ Bundle contains approximately 6.5kg of meat:

  • 2 pepper steaks
  • Chinese-glazed BBQ spare ribs
  • 4 Chinese-glazed pork steaks
  • 8 Campbell’s steak burgers
  • 8 Campbell’s pork and chorizo burgers
  • Premium pork sausages
  • 4 boneless and skinless chicken thighs

The pork and chorizo burgers weren’t included in the box I received due to a temporary production issue, but they form part of the complete bundle.

Campbell’s says the bundle saves 26% compared with purchasing everything separately. In practical terms, there should be enough here to feed approximately 12–16 people, depending on appetites, sides and how generously you load those burgers.

It was far too much for me and my three children to eat in one sitting, even after cooking only a selection from the box.

Putting the bundle on the grill

I wanted to turn everything into one proper friends and family feast, so I loaded up the Ninja FlexFlame with:

  • Chinese-glazed ribs
  • Chinese-glazed pork steaks
  • Premium pork sausages
  • Pepper steaks
  • Steak burgers
  • Corn on the cob
  • Honey, garlic and lemon chicken thigh skewers

We served everything with homemade slaw, caramelised onions, toasted rolls, burger toppings and sauces.

There was plenty happening on the grill, but most of it was relatively quick and straightforward to cook. The products had already been prepared and seasoned, so the majority of the work involved getting the grill hot, cooking everything properly and trying to stop the kids from asking when it would be ready.

But what did it taste like?

I’m always slightly sceptical about pre-marinated meat. Part of me wonders whether an overpowering marinade is there to disguise what sits underneath it.

Thankfully, that wasn’t the case here.

The Chinese seasoning on the ribs and pork delivered plenty of flavour without completely taking over. You could still taste and enjoy the meat rather than getting nothing but sugar, salt or sauce.

The pepper steaks cooked well and were ideal sliced for sharing. The sausages had a proper meaty texture and a flavour the kids genuinely loved. The steak burgers were another big hit and disappeared remarkably quickly once loaded into toasted buns with cheese and caramelised onions.

The chicken thighs were left relatively simple, with a homemade honey, garlic and lemon marinade, before being threaded onto skewers and cooked alongside the rest of the feast.

Nothing felt excessively seasoned or overpowering. It all worked together surprisingly well considering the amount of variety on the table.

Is it good value?

There is a serious amount of food included.

Unless you’re feeding a decent gathering, you probably won’t need to cook everything at once. The packaging makes it easy to cook what you need and freeze the rest for another day.

Even after our main feast, leftovers were inevitable. That’s hardly a problem in this household, though. Leftovers are king, and the sausages, burgers and remaining meat were happily enjoyed again the following day.

The real appeal is convenience. Campbell’s has already brought together the steaks, burgers, sausages, ribs, pork and chicken, leaving you to concentrate on a few sides, fire up the grill and feed everyone.

The verdict

If you want to put together a large family BBQ without buying every component separately, there’s very little to argue with here.

Delivery was well handled, the meat arrived suitably chilled despite the hot weather, the marinades were balanced and there was more than enough variety to keep both adults and children happy.

For a relatively fast cook that gives you practically everything required to feed a proper crowd, the Campbell’s Friends & Family BBQ Bundle does exactly what it promises.

Just make sure you arrive hungry—and have a plan for the leftovers.

AD | 6.5kg of meat. One seriously loaded grill. Three hungry kids . . . and one dog patiently waiting for her opportunity.

This is the @campbellsmeatonline Friends & Family BBQ Bundle, packed with Chinese-glazed ribs and pork steaks, pepper steaks, steak burgers, pork and chorizo burgers, premium pork sausages and chicken thighs.

I’m always slightly sceptical of pre-marinated meat, but the flavours were genuinely really good. Nothing overpowering, and you could still properly enjoy the meat. The kids particularly loved the sausages and burgers . . . which is always the real test in this house!

There was far too much for the four of us to finish in one sitting, but leftovers are king around here.

A proper friends and family feast, with 6.5kg of BBQ favourites and a 26% saving off the RRP.

I might have been a bit quiet on here lately . . . but behind the scenes I’m still cooking, doing a bit of brand work and, apparently, building random shit.

I’ve always tried to support UK BBQ wherever I can . . . not every idea works, plenty have been launched, gone nowhere and quietly chucked in the bin 😂 . . . but we do what we do, eh.

There’s too much focus sometimes on growing your page . . . your followers . . . your name . . .

I’d rather try and help push UK BBQ as a whole.

So . . . my latest geeky little idea is the UK BBQ Creator Circle 🔥

One place to find UK BBQ creators, follow them across their socials, support each other and give your 10 Sparks to the people you rate.

And yeah . . . there’s technically a bit of follow-for-follow in there . . . just without the “FOLLOWED BRO, FOLLOW BACK” bollocks.

The Sparks also decide who ends up Top of the Pit . . . so after years of me pissing people off with my Top 100 lists, you lot finally get a say.

Good people. Proper BBQ. One Circle. 🔥

It’s on the website . . . link in bio, then head into the newly designed HUB section.
Booked it the night before. Turned out to be one of the best little trips we’ve had.

@pinecones_cc is just over an hour from home, so with the @tentbox already on the car, we just went.

The Sandringham Royal Estate is only about a 30-minute walk from the site and the play park is HUGE. Because we walked over, no parking charge either. A few hours out for free and the kids loved it . . . can’t argue with that 😂

Then back to site for fish and chips, a few drinks in the bar, frisbee, board games and movies in the TentBox.

This is exactly why I keep it on the car.

Last-minute adventures are what it’s all about. ❤️
This is the kind of content I create for brands . . .

Product demonstrations, recipe content, photography, UGC and short-form video designed for websites, social media and advertising.

This reel includes work from previous projects and collaborations with Ninja, iGulu, Hohem, Great Balls of Flour, The Village Butchers and Bradley Smokers.

Smoke & Sear now has more than 45,000 followers across social media, while the website has attracted around 100,000 users so far in 2026.

I’ve currently got capacity for a few more paid content projects . . . particularly with food, BBQ, outdoor and lifestyle brands.

AD | Pizza dough has been my nemesis for YEARS . . . so I basically stopped bothering. 🍕🔥

No matter what recipe I tried, I could never quite get it right.

Well . . . turns out I don’t have that problem anymore. 😅

@greatballs.of.flour sent me their Essential Box and, apart from your toppings of choice, it contains everything you need to make 12 pizzas for just over £40.

For context, a Domino’s round here is about £14 a pizza. We enjoy it at the time . . . then about an hour later we’re all sat there questioning our life choices. 😂

So instead, I dragged the three kids outside and we made our own.

Were they perfectly round? Absolutely not.

Was there flour everywhere? Obviously.

Did we have a laugh, get the kids involved in cooking and make some genuinely epic pizzas? 100%.

And that was the bit I loved most.

The dough was an absolute joy to work with — genuinely easy enough for the kids to stretch and shape themselves — and everyone got to make exactly what they wanted.

We spread it over a couple of days, made a load of different pizzas and obviously finished things properly with a chocolate and marshmallow pizza. 🤤

For just over £40 for 12 pizzas, this was a seriously good way to turn dinner into something we actually did together.

And finally . . . pizza dough and I might have made peace. 😂🍕

The Essential Box was kindly sent to me by Great Balls of Flour for me to try and create some content with. All thoughts are my own.
If my 3-year-old daughter could get outside and cook . . . what’s stopping you? 🔥

This popped up in my memories today from 2021, and it proper got me.

My kids are my world. Being a single, full-time dad to three is stressful, chaotic and rarely goes to plan . . . but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ve always dragged them into this outdoor cooking journey with me, and looking back at videos like this reminds me why.

The cooks get forgotten.

The recipes change.

The kit changes.

But the memories? They stick.

This one also takes me right back to the early days of Smoke & Sear, when @bradleysmoker were the first brand to ever reach out and back what I was doing.

I’ve never forgotten that.

And funny enough, I still use my Bradley all the time today — especially for hot holding. Absolute workhorse.

Five years on, the Moink Balls are long gone.

But this little moment?

That’s priceless. ❤️🔥
