Promote Your UK BBQ Brand on Smoke & Sear

Sick of ads? Same here . . . that’s why I’ve binned mine.

Now I’m giving UK BBQ brands a chance to get real exposure across Smoke & Sear — with no catch, no cash, and no marketing waffle.

Why am I doing this?

Look — this site started as a place to jot down recipes, because my memory’s crap and I couldn’t remember what I’d cooked that wasn’t rubbish. Over time it’s grown into something people actually use, read, and cook from.

Then I whacked some Google Ads on to make a few quid.

£300–400 a month? Lovely.
But at what cost?

Pop-ups. Distractions. Slowing down the site. Pissing people off . . . Including me.

So, I ditched the ads.

And instead of replacing them with paid sponsors or pay-to-play bollocks, I’m using the space to shout out UK BBQ businesses. Rubs, sauces, kits, grills, butchers — if you’re part of the UK BBQ scene, I want to support you.

What you’ll get . . . for nothing

Your Brand Banner on Every Recipe Page

A 1200x400px banner across every single recipe page on the site (that’s over 100 pages, and growing). Where people are actually hanging around, cooking, and clicking.

A Pop-Up Message Seen by All Visitors

A short, bold pop-up that appears site-wide for the week — shouting out your brand and linking directly to your website, product or offer.

Got an Offer? Wanna Shout Louder?

If you’ve got a discount code, bundle, or special deal – I’ll plug it in the pop-up. Gets people clicking and makes you look like a legend.

BUT . . .

If it’s a Smoke & Sear branded offer — like a discount code named SMOKEANDSEAR10, a cheeky “Smoke & Sear Bundle”, or something clearly made for the crew – then I’ll shout that little bit louder.

Think:

  1. A post on my Instagram stories
  2. Maybe even a plug in the UK BBQ WhatsApp Community

Totally optional. But if you go the extra mile, I’ll probably do the same.

Site Traffic — No BS, All Real

This isn’t one of those airbrushed “influencer media kits”. Here’s what Google Analytics says (from Oct 2024 – Oct 2025):

  • 193,000+ new users
  • 262,000+ sessions
  • 100+ recipe pages
  • Average time on site: 60+ seconds
  • Over 151,000 visits from Google search

Weekly Traffic Snapshot:

SeasonVisitors per Week
Apr–Aug (Peak BBQ Season)5,000–6,000
Sep–Mar (Off Season)1,500–2,500

Yeah, it drops when it’s cold.
Once it hits 19°C, half the southern softies retreat indoors and pretend BBQ isn’t an all-year thing.

What I need from you

Let’s keep this easy. I’ve got a day job, multiple websites, and enough client work to keep me off the beer more than I’d like. So:

Send me:

  1. A 1200x400px banner
  2. The URL you want it linked to
  3. A sentence or two about your business
(Include any offer if you’ve got one)

That’s it. No design help included — unless I really like you and have 5 spare minutes.

How to Get Featured

Want to be next?

Hit the button below and head to the contact page. Let me know who you are, send over your bits, and I’ll add you to the list.

P.S.

Before anyone asks . . .

No, I’m not building some fancy automated booking system. Can’t be arsed.

I’ve got a list, and I’ll just work through it as and when I get time.

No repeat weeks — unless nobody else is waiting, in which case I’ll post a story on Instagram or drop a message in the WhatsApp group to see who wants in.

I’ll give you a heads-up the day before your week goes live — in case you wanna tweak your site or chuck up a discount code. No pressure if you don’t.

Want to Work With Me Properly?

Most of what I do is off my own back — because I bloody love it. But if you’re a BBQ brand looking to collaborate properly, I do offer paid content creation, ambassadorships, affiliate partnerships, and event support.

No fluff, no fake hype — just fair deals, quality content, and 100% honesty.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year . . .

2025 has been a huge personal challenge but with the kids by my side there is no obstacle we can’t overcome . . . and we’ve made sure we’ve had plenty of fun on the way.

I’ve been slacking off a little with the ‘U.K. BBQ scene’ lately and content creation . . . but behind the scenes I’ve been working on something honestly HUGE and within a month or two I’ll be able to share something that, well, is going to change the U.K BBQ game for sure! I’m excited just thinking about it . . .

I want to thank all those who’ve been checking in lately and the thousands and thousands of people who still rely on my Website and WhatsApp Community to help support their own BBQ journey . . . It still amazes me how many of you use what I’ve created.

2026 . . . Let’s do this! It’s gonna be a wild ride!
Today marks one year since I relaunched the Smoke & Sear website — and honestly, I thought it wouldn’t survive.

With everyone jumping to AI for recipes and reviews, I genuinely expected my little BBQ site to fade away.

But you proved me wrong.

Massively wrong.

Here are 10 epic facts from the first 12 months:

🔥 Nearly 180,000 new people visited the site — enough to fill Wembley twice.

🔥 People from 100+ countries used the site this year.

🔥 The USA alone sent 51,000+ visitors.

🔥 Perfect Pulled Pork was read 32,947 times.

🔥 Ninja content smashed 100,000+ views across Woodfire & FlexFlame reviews.

🔥 Pages were loaded hundreds of thousands of times overall.

🔥 The UK BBQ Events 2025 page hit 7,200+ readers.

🔥 Brisket content pulled 13,000+ views… and I’ve only cooked TWO briskets in my entire life. 😂

🔥 Even the 404 page somehow got 8,406 views.

🔥 And my honest, unsponsored reviews were read over 92,000 times — real testing that people actually trust.

I can’t thank you enough for reading, cooking, sharing, messaging, and keeping this whole thing alive.

In a year where everyone said websites were dead . . . you showed me that real cooks, real stories, and real honesty still matter.

Here’s to year two — bigger, hotter, smokier, and even more ridiculous. 🔥❤️

Coffee-Infused Beef Short Ribs slathered in a bourbon & maple sauce that was so good I nearly licked the plate clean . . . twice.

Rich, sticky, smoky, sweet, boozy — proper grown-up BBQ that hits different.

🔥 The real star though? That sauce.

Here’s how you make it — trust me, you’ll wanna bookmark this one:

🧪 Bourbon & Maple BBQ Sauce

	•	160g Maple Syrup
	•	80g @woodfordreserve Bourbon
	•	60g Ketchup
	•	60g Brown Sugar
	•	4 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
	•	4 tsp @norfolk_smoke_pit ‘Brew & Briskets’ Rub

Chuck it all in a pan, simmer it down, and let the magic happen. It’s sticky, boozy BBQ gold.

📸 Would I make these again? Absolutely.

⏪ Did I cook these exact ribs 4 years ago to the day? You bet I did.
1 year living next door to RAF Coningsby . . . and what a year it’s been.

Didn’t miss a single Typhoon display practice, caught every Red Arrows pass I could, and those Lancaster moments over the garden will always feel special.

Here’s a little montage of just some of the magic I’ve seen this year.

Can’t wait to see what 2026 brings. ✈️🔥
Not just cooked . . . this tomahawk was forged in fire.

Reverse-cooked low ‘n slow, then straight-up dirty seared right on the coals for that primal crust. Finished with a fat slice of cowboy butter — melted over the top with a chunk of red-hot charcoal.

Flavour? Savage.
Style? Full caveman.
Crust? Absolute filth.

Too early for a Christmas-themed turkey cook? Maybe.

But with Thanksgiving just around the corner and festive planning in full swing . . . now feels like the perfect time to drop this belter.

Smoked, brined, and slathered in herby garlic butter – this wood-fired turkey’s an absolute showstopper.

Full cook on the Kamado Joe. Full flavour. Full-on festive vibes. 🎄🔥
